With over a decade of experience writing about equality, diversity, and inclusion, (with particular focus on disability justice, queer and trans cultures, and mental wellbeing,) I can provide valuable input for any project, especially those requiring sensitivity, kindness, and what can often feel like insider-knowledge. Artificial Intelligence can be a contentious topic. While I do not use generative AI myself, I appreciate that it can act as a useful starting point for some people. That’s all it can be though – a starting point. Most AI-written copy will still need a human eye to check it makes sense. This is when hiring an editor can come in useful – to make sure you’re saying what you actually want to say!
My prices are based on the CIEP recommended rates, and vary by project based on scope, starting quality, and timescale.

Consulting
I offer consultancy services for both writing and EDI. This can take many forms, from brainstorming sessions, to sensitivity reading, to seminars, and will be tailored to each individual project and client. This service is sometimes used in conjunction with copyediting, or can act as stand-alone advice.

Please include the service you are enquiring about, the scope of the project (usually approximate word count or number of pages) and timescales so I can get back to you as efficiently as possible. I may require a sample of the copy before being able to give an accurate quote, and I may offer a free service on a small section to ensure I can meet your needs effectively.
While I can offer a variety of writing and editing styles, there are some projects I may refuse to participate in. Where possible, I shall endeavor to offer alternative solutions or give recommendations.
